COPE Limpopo Youth Movement on Community Service
As part of contributing to the future of the learners, COPE Limpopo Youth Movement has embarked in a project to land a helping hand to local schools.
The Provincial Co-ordinator of COPE Youth wing in Limpopo, Kgabo Mathekga said they identified Monyong High School outside Polokwane in Mmotong village which needed their hand for help. They did motivational talks with the learners as the schools re-opens today, help in cleaning the school yard and replacing broken windows. They have fundraised for the broken windows. They said they have identified the school because it has no library and no computers for learners which can assist learners in preparation for the better future.
Kgabo further said "We cannot just identify problems and not act on them, we need to contribute to the future of our young people"
The school has achieved 63.6% of the matric pass in 2008 and this year they commit themselves for 100%.
